I-85 South Crossing
Update (Nov. 4, 2026): Construction is underway. In an Oct. 26 post, design-builder ARCO Design/Build said slab pours were wrapping up, steel was arriving and tilt-up wall panels were being formed, with completion targeted for mid-2027. In July, leasing agent NAI Brannen Goddard had announced that the project was under construction and that the slab would be poured in August.
- Developer: Robinson Weeks (Atlanta).
- Size: 1,006,880 square feet in a cross-dock configuration, with 198 dock doors, 250 trailer spaces and 448 car parking spaces, according to the developer’s project page.
- Delivery: the developer’s page lists June 2027.
- City role: in May 2026, council approved 2-1 an agreement to extend city utilities to the site. The Times-Herald reported that Robinson Weeks pays estimated costs up front: $153,450 for gas and $197,884 for water and sewer. The company reimburses the city for any overruns.
- Jobs: Mayor Richard Proctor said the warehouse could eventually bring 700 jobs. That is his estimate, not a commitment.
