Submission guidelines

Thanks for sharing your news with your neighbors. Here's how submissions work.

Every submission is reviewed

Nothing posts automatically. Each submission is screened first, then a person at The Grantville Ledger gives the final yes before it publishes.

What we can't publish

• Nudity or sexual content
• Graphic violence
• Hate, harassment or threats
• Private information about other people without their consent
• Photos of minors without a parent's or guardian's permission
• Copyrighted photos you don't own
• Ads dressed up as news
• Political campaign material in community listings
• Spam

Daily limits

To keep the paper balanced, we publish up to 5 milestones (birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and the like) and 5 community or event listings per day. They're scheduled in the order they're approved. If a day is full, your approved item moves to the next open day. Obituaries have no daily limit.

Editing

We may edit submissions for length and clarity, and we may decline any submission.
