Grantville GA Parks & Rec plans Christmas Parade & Bazaar for Nov. 27
Grantville’s Parks & Recreation Advisory Board held a special called meeting Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 123 LaGrange St. The published agenda focuses on reviewing the Fall Festival and starting coordinated planning for the city’s Christmas Parade & Bazaar.
As of this writing, the city has posted the agenda; formal minutes from the Nov. 4 meeting were not yet on the city site. Details below come from that agenda.
Fall Festival review (Oct. 24)
Board members were asked to discuss what went well at the Oct. 24 Fall Festival — activities, community participation, volunteers and vendor feedback — and what to improve next time, including communication, planning and volunteer coordination.
Christmas Parade & Bazaar planning — agenda date Nov. 27
Under “Christmas Parade & Bazaar Planning,” the agenda lists:
- Event date: November 27, 2026
- Review of initial discussions Ashlie Little and Shelly Smith already had with the city (named on the official agenda)
- Parade theme: Heat Miser vs. Cold Miser
- Parade route and logistics
- Christmas Bazaar vendors and setup
- Activities and entertainment, Santa photos and tree lighting
- Decorations, donations and sponsorships
- Volunteer needs, deadlines and task assignments
The official agenda does not list a final parade start time. Treat the hour as still to be confirmed with the city.
Date note: A separate community listing on AllEvents had previously shown the Christmas Parade & Bazaar on Nov. 28. The city’s Parks & Rec agenda — the better official source for what the board was planning from — lists Nov. 27. The Ledger’s calendar now follows the city’s Nov. 27 agenda date; confirm with City Hall (770-583-2289) or Parks & Recreation before you plan around either day.
