Which schools serve Grantville: Glanton, Moreland, Smokey Road Middle and Newnan High
Coweta County's GIS attendance-zone maps show:
- Glanton Elementary School (pre-K–5): covers most of the city. 5725 Highway 29, Grantville. 770-583-2873.
- Moreland Elementary School: covers part of the city, about 16% of the land inside city limits by the Ledger's calculation.
- Smokey Road Middle School: the whole city.
- Newnan High School: the whole city.

Kindergarten registration
2027–28 dates have not been announced. For last year (2026–27), the district's kindergarten registration flyer said:
- Registration opened Feb. 1, 2026, and was completely online, through the online pre-registration linked on cowetaschools.net.
- Children must be 5 on or before Sept. 1.
- Children already in a Coweta public school pre-K class who finish the year don't need to register for kindergarten.
- Families upload a birth certificate or passport, a parent ID, two proofs of residency, Georgia immunization form 3231 and hearing, dental, vision and nutrition form 3300. Students new to Georgia can enroll provisionally with a waiver.

Pre-K (Georgia's Pre-K Program)
Georgia's Pre-K is a free, state-funded program for 4-year-olds. It runs 6.5 hours a day, five days a week, 180 days a year, according to Georgia.gov. Children must be 4 on or before Sept. 1 of the school year, which is Sept. 1, 2027, for 2027–28, and must live in Georgia (Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning). Each provider sets its own application process and deadline. Georgia.gov says local school systems generally take applications between January and mid-March.
- Coweta County schools: 2027–28 dates have not been announced. For 2026–27, the district's pre-K instructions said families had to live in the elementary school's attendance zone and get on that school's Pre-K 4 waitlist in person. Parents brought the child's birth certificate, two proofs of residency, a photo ID and the last four digits of the child's Social Security number. See the district's Pre-K page.
- Private child care centers also offer Georgia's Pre-K. The district posts a list of Coweta private pre-K sites, and DECAL has a statewide provider search.
