GRANTVILLE — The city’s posted October 2026 utility rate sheet lists residential natural gas at $1.32 per CCF, up 2 cents from the $1.30 rate on the September sheet. Small-commercial natural gas moved the other way, from $1.36 to $1.32 per CCF. Electric, water, sewer and trash figures on the October sheet match September.

The Ledger compared the official PDFs on the city Utility Rates page. As of Friday, Nov. 6, October was the newest monthly sheet posted; a November sheet had not appeared yet.

What changed (gas only)

Customer classSeptember 2026October 2026
Residential natural gas (all CCF)$1.30 / CCF$1.32 / CCF
Small commercial natural gas (all CCF)$1.36 / CCF$1.32 / CCF
Residential & small-commercial gas base charge$12 / $24Unchanged

CCF means 100 cubic feet of natural gas. Both sheets say natural gas and electric charges are subject to Coweta County sales tax of 8%, and that rates — especially gas and electric — can change with market conditions. The city notes the sheet is updated monthly and copies are available at City Hall.

Selected residential figures that did not move between the September and October PDFs:

Electric power cost adjustment (PCA)$0.03 / kWh

Full tier tables for water and sewer are in the October PDF.

Why it matters here

Grantville runs its own electric, gas, water and sewer systems and bills for trash. Winter heating season is when gas use — and bill sensitivity to the per-CCF rate — rises fastest. The city’s sheet itself warns that natural gas prices change monthly and “can be expected to rise dramatically in peak demand seasons.”
