Glanton Elementary: full school week before Thanksgiving break
4-H is collecting aluminum drink-can tabs for Ronald McDonald House; Backpack Buddies signup info is on the school site. Coweta Thanksgiving break is Nov. 23–27.
At Glanton Elementary, the 4-H club is collecting aluminum drink-can pop tabs for Ronald McDonald House Charities; students send them to school, and the tabs are turned in at the monthly fifth-grade meeting. The school also posts information about Backpack Buddies, which sends weekend food bags home with enrolled students, and how families can sign up. The district calendar lists no holiday or early-release day Nov. 9–13, including Veterans Day. Monday’s SchoolCafé menu lists broccoli-and-cheese soup, a manager’s special and pepperoni pizza. Thanksgiving break runs Nov. 23–27.
