Grantville GA population and census data: the city by the numbers

By The Grantville Ledger · Nov 4, 2026

How many people live in Grantville, what do households earn, and what does a home cost? Here’s what the U.S. Census Bureau’s most recent numbers show, compared with Coweta County and Georgia.

Two kinds of census numbers. Population counts come from the 2020 Census and the Census Bureau’s yearly estimates. Income, housing, education and jobs come from the American Community Survey (ACS), which samples households and pools five years of answers, here 2020 to 2024. For a small city, ACS numbers carry wide margins of error, so we list them. Margins are at the 90% confidence level, the Census Bureau’s standard.

Coweta County grew faster than Grantville. Nearly all of Grantville’s estimated growth came in one year. The estimate rose from 3,109 in July 2020 to 3,271 in July 2021, and it has stayed between 3,247 and 3,285 since:

Grantville is home to about 2% of Coweta County’s residents.

Income and poverty (ACS 2020–2024)

Unemployment rate5.6% (±4.3 points)3.1% (±0.6)5.1% (±0.1)

Dollar figures are in 2024 dollars.

What’s clear: the typical Grantville household earns about $26,000 less than the typical Coweta County household. That gap is larger than the margins of error.

What isn’t: Grantville’s median income is below Georgia’s, but the gap ($8,070) is within the margin of error. Grantville’s poverty and unemployment rates are also too uncertain to say they differ from the county’s.

Housing (ACS 2020–2024)

Owners estimate their home’s value in the survey, so these are owners’ estimates, not sale prices or tax assessments. Even so, the typical Grantville home is valued at more than $150,000 less than the county median.
